Celebrate the start of fall in Punta Gorda, Florida with the 1st annual Big Orange Music Fest. This exciting event will celebrate the Grand Opening of the newly renovated center court. A musical celebration of Florida’s favorite fruit, this 2 day festival will offer live music and activities at a number of venues throughout the community. Local merchants and restaurants will also feature samplings of tasty orange specialties for visitors. Food trucks will participate in the food fun at music venues. Visitors will enjoy a bevy of local items to commemorate the Fest with great shopping at the local boutiques.
The Big Orange Music Fest kicks off with a Sunset Celebration at Fisherman’s Village. From 5-9pm, there will be fun activities, food and great music at this beautiful Charlotte Harbor location. Music will include the Nick Moss Band from 5-7pm and The Fritz Band from 7:30-9pm. Don’t miss the antics of Too Tall Torrie Stiltwalker, Jeff the Juggler and Unicyclist Chris Lucas there to delight the visitors as well.
Saturday September 10th will continue the fun with a special Big Orange Throwdown hosted by CrossFit Warpath. The competition will be held on the lawn of the Sheraton Four Points and welcomes teams from all over. If this is too much work for you, the Big Orange Music Festival will offer Yoga classes hosted by the Yoga Sanctuary throughout the morning. Located on the tranquil waterfront lawn of the Charlotte Harbor Event and Conference Center, you can nurture your inner peace.
Saturday night the Big Orange Music Fest moves inside for the main events. Enjoy the musical talent of the Nick Moss Band, Colin Lake, The Fritz, Thomas Wynn and the Believers and JJ Grey and Mofro. Guests are treated to a musical party with 2 stages and great soul/funk music. The food trucks will be out front to make sure no one goes hungry. Doors open at 4pm.
